Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is the gold standard of skin care.  But here registered Nurse Kathy Mandarino does microdermabrasion a little differently.  With Kathy, microdermabrasion will always be a treatment that feels more like a relaxing facial than one for skin health.  But in fact, it’s both!  Kathy takes this terrific treatment for sun damage, fine lines, enlarged pores and poor skin texture to a new level.  You’ll also get a facial massage which will stimulate circulation too.  And skin nutrients selected just for you will be applied to your new skin so that your skin will look its best.

In microdermabrasion, there’s an abrading element which feels like salt, and that combines with a vacuum treatment which together physically removes a layer of dead dull skin.   The treatment itself feels like a series of gentle, exfoliating, “pulls” on the skin.

Your skin will feel softer immediately and over time will maintain a more youthful glow.  Many of Kathy’s patients schedule a regular, monthly treatment for optimum impact.

BEFORE, AFTER AND DURING TREATMENT

Allow about 30 minutes for this relaxing experience, an hour if you are combining it with another treatment.  Avoid retinoids or facial waxing for hair removal for two to three days before treatment.  You may be slightly flushed immediately after your microdermabrasion, especially if you combine it with another procedure.
