Dr. Christina Steil is an American Academy of Dermatology board certified dermatologist who has devoted many years studying diseases of the skin.

She attended college at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Biochemistry.

Dr. Steil then attended The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and graduated with her Medical Degree in 1995.

She completed a medical internship at Loyola University Medical Center.

After completing her medicine training she spent a year with Dr. Brian Nickoloff doing basic science research on the study of psoriasis, and skin cancer cells and their relationship to the cutaneous immune system.

Her education continued during her dermatology residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, where she trained in the clinical and surgical treatment of skin diseases and served as chief resident. At the completion of her residency in 2000 she successfully passed the Dermatology Board Exam administered by the American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Steil currently works full-time in private practice. In addition she is on faculty at Cook County Hospital where she staffs the dermatology clinic and teaches the residents.

Dr. Steil is an active member of the following organizations:

  • American Academy of Dermatology.
  • Chicago Dermatology Society.
  • The American Society for Photodynamic Therapy.
  • American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery.

In addition, she is a member of the SKIN faculty of the American Academy of Dermatology.
